Fly Across Pearl Harbor Oahu in a Warbird

Fly Across Pearl Harbor Oahu in a Warbird

About This Experience

Step back in time and experience authentic World War II history as you fly across Pearl Harbor Oahu in a warbird during this extraordinary 45-60 minute flight experience in Honolulu. You'll soar through Hawaiian skies aboard a genuine 1944 Navy SNJ-5C (T-6 Texan), a versatile aircraft originally designed as a training plane but also used as a fighter during the war.

Your warbird adventure starts with a simulated pre-mission briefing that recreates what cadets received during WWII, complete with a historic Pearl Harbor overview in a custom WWII environment. After gearing up with safety equipment and headsets, you'll choose between a 30-minute flight covering South Oahu with Pearl Harbor and Honolulu flyovers, or extend to a full 60-minute island tour.

The longer flight follows the same routes Japanese pilots used during their attack, taking you over historic airfields including Wheeler, Kaneohe, and Bellows that were bombed on that fateful day. Your pilot provides full narration as you witness aerial views of Pearl Harbor and its memorials, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Honolulu, the North Shore, Oahu's coastlines, and Punchbowl National Cemetery.

This one-of-a-kind warbird's powerful engine delivers an authentic feel for what pilots experienced during wartime operations. When you fly across Pearl Harbor Oahu in a warbird in Honolulu, you're following the exact flight paths taken during the Pearl Harbor attack, creating both an educational and emotional connection to this pivotal moment in history.

After landing, you'll participate in a debriefing session with your pilot, providing time for questions and closer aircraft examination. The experience includes all safety gear, headsets, and a complimentary camera phone lanyard. Tours require 96-hour advance notice for changes, and custom tours including aviation museum visits can be arranged upon request.
