About this experience
Whales and You takes guests out along Oahu's Gold Coast in search of humpback whales. Round-trip transportation runs from Waikiki to the harbor, so travelers coming from that area do not need to arrange their own way to the boat. Once on the water, a naturalist provides live whale commentary, and a hydrophone is available for listening to whale songs from below the surface.
The trip also includes a Hawaiian cultural ceremony featuring the chant "E Ho Mai" and a hula performance by the crew. Snacks and soft drinks come with the tour, including a poi mochi donut served in the morning and local snacks in the afternoon. Meals onboard do not accommodate food allergies, so guests with dietary needs should bring their own food. Shoes are removed on board, and sandals or easily removable footwear makes that transition simple. Those prone to motion sickness are advised to take medication before heading out. Strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on the trolley or the boat.
