Jungle Hike

Pickup is offered directly from hotels in Waikiki, so there is no need to find a trailhead independently. Manoa Falls follows a gravel-improved path through jungle to a barrier near the falls. Rain is common on this trail, and more rain typically means more water on the falls. Kalawahine follows a dirt path with very little elevation gain, since the drive up the mountain covers most of the ascent. Along the way the trail passes flowers, ferns, trees, evidence of lava flows, and pink guava and strawberry guava when in season. The difficulty is rated easy with low physical intensity.
