About this experience
This certification course trains participants to become Emergency First Response Instructors, qualified to teach CPR and first aid skills to anyone, not just scuba divers. Teaching as an EFR Instructor means offering courses based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines, and students who complete those courses finish feeling confident and ready to help someone in need.
The first day of the course meets at Keawe Street in Honolulu. Sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays. Before the first class meeting, participants must complete all eLearning and bring a completed, printed eLearning record. Plan to finish that material well ahead of the first session, as it takes considerable time to complete. A laptop or device is needed throughout the course to access training materials. The Education Coordinator will follow up with details about the full schedule and any additional locations.
Equipment and a guide are included. There is no private option for this course, and it is rated moderate in difficulty with low physical intensity.
