Each session begins with a safety briefing and land instruction, then moves into the ocean for guided coaching. Group, semi-private, and private lessons are available, making this suitable for beginners and more experienced surfers alike. Coaches tailor instruction to each participant's skill level.
The rental of a rashguard, reef shoes, and a surfboard is included, along with professional instruction. Participants should bring a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen, and plan to arrive a little early to check in before the lesson starts.
Participants must be able to swim and be in good physical condition. The tour is not recommended for pregnant women. Children younger than the group lesson threshold must book a private lesson instead. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, so participants make their own way to the meeting point. Gratuities are also not included.
