About this experience
AʻO HAWAIʻI - Swim with Dolphin puts guests aboard a double-hulled catamaran that cruises the West Coast of Oahu in search of wild dolphins. Once dolphins are spotted, swimmers enter the water using snorkel gear provided on board. Federal regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act require maintaining distance from Hawaiian spinner dolphins, though other species such as Hawaiian spotted dolphins and Hawaiian bottlenose dolphins can be approached as usual. Swimmers may also encounter Hawaiian green turtles and tropical fish. During winter months, humpback whales are sometimes seen migrating through the area. Wildlife sightings are not assured, as conditions vary by day.
Shuttle pickup is available from Waikiki and Ko Olina hotels; guests staying elsewhere meet the boat at the harbor independently. The price covers round-trip shuttle service, snorkel gear, life vests, a Kalua Pork and Cabbage Bowl lunch with sweet potato, water, a drink, and a souvenir. Wetsuits are available to rent for an additional fee. Bananas are not permitted on the boat.
