90-Minute Group Tour

A docent leads small groups through the house, discussing the design, the client, and the architectural principles that shaped it. Ossipoff, born in Russia and raised in Japan, drew on Japanese building techniques and modern architectural thinking to create a house that responds to its site through its materials, circulation, and relationship to the surrounding landscape.

Tours are conducted in English, and on-site parking is available. The house is not air-conditioned and can be warm during summer and fall, so bringing water in a container with a secure lid is a good idea. Guests are asked to remove their shoes to protect the wood floors. No pets, backpacks, large bags, tripods, or selfie sticks are allowed, and photography is limited to private, noncommercial use. There is no bus service to the property, so plan to arrive by rental car or taxi.
