About this experience
It suits couples, kids looking for a fun activity, or traveling companions who want to get on a surfboard together off Oahu's North Shore. No prior surfing experience is needed.
The lesson begins on land, where the instructor covers how to stand up on a board, surfing etiquette, and basic line-up safety. From there, the focus shifts to catching as many waves as possible. A rash guard, leash, and a softtop or epoxy surfboard are all provided for each surfer.
The surf locations used by North Shore Ohana School of Surfing are also known as snorkel spots where green sea turtles, reef fish, and manta rays can appear near the line-up, along with humpback whales during winter migration and spinner dolphins in summer. Anyone who is not satisfied with the experience or the service receives a full refund, no questions asked.
