About this experience
Dolphin Divers runs this scuba trip out of Ko Olina on Oahu's west side, taking certified divers and first-timers alike to shallower reef sites and the lava tubes at Makaha Caverns. The highlight at Makaha Caverns is a set of fully formed underwater lava tubes where green sea turtles are often seen resting near the entrance. Because the exit is visible from the entrance, divers can swim through the tubes. Reef dives are also available, suited to those who want longer bottom time or who have not been in the water for a while.
All equipment is provided, including dive computers, though personal gear is welcome. Snacks and refreshments are included, and transportation from Ko Olina hotels and resorts is available. Friends and family who do not plan to dive are welcome aboard the boat. First-time divers join under direct instructor supervision. Confident swimming ability is required.
