Semi-Private Skim Lesson

Skimboarding with a friend or partner is the focus of this Semi-Private Skim Lesson from Oahu Surf and Skim School. The lesson covers safety guidelines, proper technique, and the fundamentals of catching and riding waves. A certified instructor provides demonstrations and individualized instruction so both participants can work on their skills throughout the class.

Participants practice standing up and riding waves under the guidance of the instructor, and as confidence grows, the two can ride waves side by side. The semi-private format means both learners receive direct instruction rather than joining a larger group setting.

Bring water, board shorts, and sunscreen, and pack a rash guard if preferred. Plan to arrive a little early before the scheduled start. This lesson suits pairs who want a structured, coached introduction to skimboarding, and the option to choose between a shorter or longer class length lets both participants decide how much time to spend on the board together.
