SSI - Advanced Open Water Diver

About This Experience

Here in Honolulu's crystal-clear waters, the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification offers something different from your typical diving course. Rather than locking you into a single program, this innovative 2-day certification gives you the freedom to sample Deep Diving and Navigation alongside three specialty areas of your choosing—all before committing to full specialty training.

Based out of Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor Slip 65, this SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Honolulu program perfectly introduces you to advanced techniques while showing just how valuable these enhanced skills become on future dives. You'll complete either 4 boat dives or mix it up with 2 boat and 2 shore dives, experiencing Oahu's diverse underwater environments firsthand.

What sets SSI apart is their comprehensive approach—you'll need 4 SSI Specialty Programs and 24 logged dives total for certification. This structure builds genuine skill development and confidence while opening doors to those coveted dive sites that require advanced-level abilities, including deeper wrecks and more challenging locations.

We keep groups intimate with just 6 participants maximum, ensuring you get the personalized attention you deserve. Training schedules work around your busy life, with actual dates arranged after booking. Here's the beauty of it: complete full specialty courses whenever you're ready, and your Advanced Open Water training counts toward them.

Open to ages 12 and above, the program includes SSI eLearn materials and all diving sessions. You'll need to arrange dive gear rental separately and budget for transportation and parking. Our flexible makeup policy covers missed sessions for an additional fee, while cancellations require 48-hour notice for full refunds (though eLearn materials can't be refunded once assigned).

This SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Honolulu certification represents a smart investment in expanding your capabilities while maintaining the scheduling flexibility that today's divers need.
