It is designed for beginners and divers without certification or prior swimming experience, so no background in scuba is needed before arriving.
The first gives participants time to get comfortable with the equipment and learn basic breathing and safety procedures alongside a dive professional. After a surface interval for a bathroom break and snacks, a dive professional leads the second dive as a supervised underwater tour of Hawaii's underwater ecosystem. A current promotion includes free scuba gear rental.
Friends and family who want to join without diving can come aboard as ride-alongs or snorkelers for an additional fee available at checkout. Per PADI safety regulations, uncertified divers cannot bring cameras or personal phones underwater. A GoPro camera package is available to add at checkout for those who want footage of the experience. Plan to bring a towel, reef-friendly sunscreen, and water.
