Tourist Trap - Waikiki

Tourist Trap is an outdoor game run by Scaventour that combines the logic of an escape room with the movement of a scavenger hunt. A guide meets participants in front of the Army Museum at Fort DeRussy on Kalia Road in Waikiki. Each team carries a backpack fitted with locked zipper pockets. Opening the first unlocked pocket reveals a map, a start point, and a clue. That clue helps unlock the first lock, which yields a second destination and another clue. The guide handles navigation throughout, so no map-reading skill is needed. Part of the course passes through a garden, and during some times of year bug bites are a possibility there, so bringing insect repellent is worth considering. Umbrellas are fine to carry if light rain is expected. The gamemaster's phone number arrives in the confirmation email for easy contact on game day. The difficulty level is rated easy. Gratuity and transportation are not included in the price.
