About this experience
Trident Adventures offers this Discover Scuba Dive program for people with no prior experience or certification. Participants meet at Aloha Tower in Honolulu, where a PADI professional walks through basic underwater skills before guiding everyone on a handheld dive in a controlled setting. Instructors are hand-picked and personally trained by Navy SEALs. All scuba equipment is provided, along with beverages and snacks.
Basic swimming ability is needed, and the activity is rated moderate in physical intensity. Before entering the water, every participant signs a medical form. Those who answer yes to any item on the medical questionnaire must bring a signed statement from a doctor. Non-certified divers cannot bring cameras underwater, and transport to the meeting point is not included.
After completing the introductory dive, participants have the option to continue training toward full PADI or SSI certification if they choose. Gratuity is not included in the activity price, and participants should plan to bring their own towel, swimwear, and reef-safe sunscreen to the meeting point.
