The session is 45 minutes in the water. A guide works with you, and there's a safety briefing before you get started. Wai Kai provides the board, life jacket, and helmet, so you're showing up with swimwear, a towel, reef safe sunscreen, and a water bottle-nothing else to sort out. Difficulty is rated easy, and the minimum age is 10, with a 90 lb and 4-foot height minimum. Basic swimming ability is required, which is a reasonable bar for anyone considering this.

Pricing starts from $149 per person for the VIP Surf Lesson (ages 10+). If you're bringing a crew, the Surf Lesson Buyout covers up to 12 people at $950. Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours in advance, less a $5 administrative fee-solid policy for a weather-dependent activity.

For logistics: no hotel pickup, so you're driving yourself. Check-in is at Guest Services on the Wave Deck, next to WaveBar, right in front of the wave pool-easy to spot. Pregnant guests aren't able to participate.
