How we compare tours
Do Oahu guides compare tours on facts: what each tour operator lists and what official sources say about the places. The guides are not written from personal visits.
Where the facts come from
Tour details, such as prices, times, what is included and age limits, come from each operator's own listing on its booking page.
Facts about places, such as hours, fees, rules and closures, come from official sources: park, state and county agency pages and the places' own sites.
Star ratings and review counts come from Google reviews.
How each guide is checked
Before a guide is published, code matches every sentence that states a fact to the fact it uses, and an automated check reads each of those sentences against its fact. A guide is published only when every one of them matches.
The "Prices and details checked on" date under a guide's title is the day its sentences were last checked against those facts.
A guide with no checked date has not been through this check.
Prices
A price in a guide is the general fare the operator lists. Child fares and other reduced fares are listed separately on each tour's page. Prices can change; the operator's booking page shows the price before you pay.
When facts change
Once a day, code compares the facts each guide cites with the current listings. When a fact has changed, code corrects the sentence or marks the guide for review, and a guide that is not yet published is held back until it is fixed.
How Do Oahu earns money
Do Oahu does not sell tours. Each booking link opens the operator's own booking page on FareHarbor, where you book directly with the operator. Do Oahu may earn a commission on those bookings, never added to your price.
