Shark Dive
The Shark Dive departs from Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor on Oahu's North Shore and heads offshore to a moored cage in open water. The boats have cushioned seating and canopy shade, and a safety briefing covers shark biology, marine life, and local ecology before departure. No chumming is used; the boat motors attract the sharks naturally. Inside the cage, Galapagos and sandbar sharks commonly come close, with tiger sharks appearing on occasion. Masks and snorkels are provided, and prescription masks are available on request. Guests may bring their own underwater camera, and disposable cameras along with a video option are available to purchase on site. A towel, swimsuit, and water are good things to pack. The experience suits families, since the cage accommodates multiple people at once. Transportation to the harbor is not included, so arriving independently is necessary.
