West Oahu Guided Snorkel Tour

A warm water vent from the nearby power plant draws an abundance of marine life to the area, creating an underwater ecosystem where tropical fish, sea turtles, coral, and occasional dolphins and monk seals can be spotted. A lifeguard-certified guide leads the group past the shore break and into open water, adjusting the experience to the comfort level of participants.

This tour suits people who are physically fit, confident in open water, and comfortable with a shore break that can be challenging. It involves sustained swimming alongside calm floating, and free diving is part of the experience. Those who are less comfortable in open water may not get the full outing.

Snorkel gear and boogie boards are provided. Participants should bring reef-safe sunscreen, a swimsuit, a towel, and a water bottle. Arriving early and eating a light meal beforehand is recommended. Transportation to the park is not included.
