About this experience
"Remember the Battleships" stands out as one of Oahu's most profound historical experiences. This comprehensive 7-hour cultural tour weaves together Pearl Harbor National Monument with downtown Honolulu's historic district, giving you over 4 hours to truly absorb the memorial sites where everything changed. Group size is limited to 25 people.
Starting with convenient pickup from Waikiki, Ko Olina, or North Shore in comfortable Mercedes Sprinter vans, you'll arrive at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center by 7:15 AM. The journey begins with a documentary featuring actual film footage from December 7, 1941. Then comes the Navy launch boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial-that stark white structure where over 1,100 sailors and marines remain interred. You get 15 minutes of quiet reflection at this sacred site before boarding the floating museum Battleship Missouri, the legendary "Mighty Mo."
Exploring the Battleship Missouri is incredible. Multiple decks, galleys, rooms, and massive guns tell their stories, but nothing beats standing on the famous Surrender Deck. This is where the treaty ending World War II was signed when the ship was anchored in Tokyo Bay. Your guided tour keeps you oriented-trust me, it's easy to get lost on this massive warship.
The experience continues exploring downtown Honolulu's historic buildings near Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha Statue.
Groups up to 25 people enjoy complete transportation, the movie presentation, boat ride to USS Arizona Memorial, and full Battleship Missouri access. While meals aren't included, you can grab food at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center or Battleship Missouri. Pickup locations stay within 5 minutes walking distance of your accommodation, with return between 1:30-3:00 PM for a complete historical immersion into "Remember the Battleships."
