About this experience
The Shark Dive Eco Tour takes place in the open ocean off the North Shore of Oahu, departing from Haleiwa. Guests snorkel and freedive alongside sharks, including Galapagos and sandbar species, without a cage. A crew of marine biologists leads the outing from start to finish, beginning with a briefing on the boat about what to expect and how to behave around the wildlife. In the water, participants hold a safety rope secured to the vessel while crew members stay nearby to assist.
Pregnant guests cannot participate, and all participants must meet a minimum height requirement. This tour does not include scuba diving.
On the return trip, crew members discuss the marine life observed and share ocean conservation information. Optional photo and video packages can be arranged separately through the operator.
