Whale Watching Tour | December - March

Diamond Head Cruises runs this whale watching trip out of Pier A on Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu, departing into the waters along the Waikiki coastline in search of humpback whales during their winter season. The tour runs on a high-speed adventure raft, the same style used by the U.S. Coast Guard, which lets the crew cover more ocean and adjust course based on real-time whale activity rather than a fixed route. Humpbacks migrate to Hawaiian waters each winter to breed and give birth, and the crew uses local knowledge to pursue recent sightings. Behaviors like breaching, tail-slapping, and pectoral waving are possible, and dolphins, sea turtles, and flying fish may also appear along the way.
