About this experience
Here at Sand Island's South Shore, our group mid length efoil experience up to 10 participants (call if more than 4 participants) Honolulu adventure gives you an incredible taste of electric hydrofoiling without breaking the bank. There's something magical about gliding silently above Oahu's waters on these battery-powered boards - and sharing the experience with friends makes it even better.
We kick things off with 15-30 minutes of ground school where our certified instructors walk you through everything: safety protocols, how to operate the board, and the techniques that'll get you flying above the waves. Once we hit the water, each person gets three solid 10-minute runs - that's 30 minutes of actual efoil time per student. Since we pair up participants to share one eFoil between every two students, you'll alternate between riding and watching others learn. Trust me, those observation moments are just as valuable as your time on the board.
The whole experience runs 1.5-2 hours total and accommodates anywhere from 2-10 people. Sand Island's protected waters are perfect for beginners - we get calmer seas and reliable wind patterns on the South Shore. This mid-length format works beautifully for everyone, especially our senior participants and folks who want a more relaxed introduction to the sport.
You'll need to be at least 10 years old and weigh under 200 pounds (we can accommodate 201-265 pounds for an additional $49 fee). Everything's included: equipment, professional instruction, and comprehensive safety briefing.
