BEE FARM TOUR

The Bee Farm Tour takes place at Hānai Hives' apiary on the North Shore of Oahu, where guests spend time among working honeybee colonies. The visit starts with a walk through the property's foraging areas, which include a wide variety of fruit trees with something different in bloom depending on the season. A short beekeeping lesson comes next, followed by suiting up in a ventilated bee suit before going into the hives. The guide pulls frames so visitors can get a close look at honeycomb containing honey, pollen, and brood. The tour wraps up with honey tasting.

Every tour is private, making it a good fit for families, couples, homeschool groups, and work teams. Guests should wear closed-toed shoes, as the bee suit covers everything else. Bring a camera to capture the hive up close. The tour meets directly at the apiary, so no shuttle or pickup is included. Because the experience is weather dependent, the operator may cancel if conditions require it.
