Surf Coaching

Ready to push your surfing beyond the basics? This specialized surf coaching offers sessions designed exclusively for intermediate and advanced surfers who want personalized, one-on-one instruction with a local coach.

These intensive 2-hour sessions zero in on your individual goals. Whether you're dialing in wave positioning, prepping for competition, or sharpening your overall ocean awareness, your instructor tailors the experience to what you need most. You'll get real-time feedback as you surf, with your coach providing personalized feedback in and out of the water with live corrections that stick.

What sets this surf coaching program apart is its adaptability. The meeting spot is selected based on current wave conditions and your skill level, so you're always training where it makes the most sense. Some sessions include surf skate drills on the beach—these land-based exercises build muscle memory and board control that directly translates to better performance in the water.

Your coach provides detailed feedback throughout the session, plus you'll walk away with specific advice and progression tips to keep improving between lessons. While surfers are encouraged to bring their own board for the best coaching experience, if a board is needed, one can be provided upon request. Please note that availability is limited and the board may not be an exact match for your preferences or style.

This isn't beginner territory—you need prior surf experience and the ability to paddle out independently in moderate conditions. Each session includes one-on-one coaching with a local instructor, in-water observation and live corrections, optional surf skate drills, and a rashguard.

Bring your towel, water, wax, surf equipment if using your own board, and sunscreen. Transportation to the meeting location isn't included. Plan to check in 10-15 minutes early, and the exact surf spot will be confirmed based on daily conditions and your abilities.
