Venture Ko Olina Nearshore Fishing

The charter is run by a certified captain who teaches local fishing techniques along the way, including trolling the ledge for small tuna and jigging the shallows for Papio (Trevally), Ta'ape (Yellow Snapper), and Uku (Green Jobfish). All fishing rods, reels, tackle, and gear are included, and light refreshments such as iced water, Hawaiian juices, coconut water, and small local snacks are provided on board.

This is a private experience well suited to novice and intermediate anglers, as well as children and young fishers. The boat accommodates a small group and has a restroom on board. Most fish are caught and released, though keeping a catch is possible based on legal limits and the captain's discretion. Note that a State of Hawaii Fishing License is required, and this charter focuses on nearshore grounds rather than deep-sea fishing. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a camera.
