When the sun dips below Oahu's North Shore horizon, the Anahulu River transforms into something magical. Blue Planet Adventure Company's neon nights Haleiwa adventure takes you paddleboarding down this peaceful waterway with LED lights illuminating your path beneath the surface.
Your LED-equipped paddleboard creates a colorful underwater glow that reveals the river's hidden marine life. Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are guaranteed sightings on this 1.5-hour evening paddle, along with fish and possibly spotted rays drawn to the illuminated water. The lights attached underneath your board turn each stroke into a mesmerizing display as sea life moves through the glowing pathway below.
Starting at Blue Planet Adventure Company at 62-620 Kamehameha Hwy, Hale'iwa, you'll receive a comprehensive land-based lesson before launching into the river. No prior paddleboarding experience is needed—your instructor adapts to every skill level while creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Under moonlight and stars, you'll glide downstream discovering Hawaii's marine ecosystem from a completely different perspective.
This beginner-friendly neon nights Haleiwa experience welcomes paddlers ages 10 and up. Younger children can ride on an adult's board while wearing a life jacket. The adventure operates rain or shine, though unsafe water conditions including heavy rain, high winds, or lightning may lead to rescheduling or full refunds.
Starting from $75 per person (Kama'aina $75, regular $95), your experience includes paddleboards, paddles, life jackets, and access to waterproof phone cases and glasses straps. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for full refund, and arriving more than 10 minutes late will result in no refund.
