Turtle Tour and Surf combines a surf lesson with turtle viewing and Hawaiian shave ice, all on Oahu's North Shore. The experience begins in the water with a surf lesson led by instructors from North Shore Surf Girls, a company owned and run by local surfers who are also trained lifeguards. After the lesson, the group moves on to see Hawaiian turtles up close before wrapping up with shave ice.
The tour suits children and adults alike, though it carries a moderate physical intensity rating, and pregnant participants are not able to join. Children are welcome, including young ones. Surfboards and surf shirts or rash guards are provided, and wetsuits and life jackets are available as needed.
