Your keiki will discover the magic of breathing underwater with our PADI Bubblemaker: Scuba Diving for Kids Honolulu program – a perfect introduction to scuba diving for children ages 8-10. This 2-3 hour adventure gives young explorers their first taste of the underwater world using real scuba equipment in a safe, shallow pool setting.
We start by getting kids comfortable with their gear. They'll learn about masks, fins, BCDs, tanks, and regulators through hands-on exploration that makes equipment fitting fun rather than intimidating. Once they're suited up, it's time to enter water no deeper than 2 meters (6 feet) where they'll practice breathing through the regulator while kneeling or standing.
Under constant supervision from certified PADI Professionals, your child will master essential Bubblemaker skills. Comfortable breathing, regulator clearing, and underwater swimming become second nature through engaging games and bubble-blowing challenges that build confidence naturally. The real excitement begins during the underwater exploration phase when kids experience true weightlessness, swimming around like real divers while discovering weighted toys, hula hoops, and safe underwater obstacles.
During the 20-30 minute skills and play session, children learn simple hand signals and equalization techniques while staying calm underwater. Each session wraps up with a celebration featuring high-fives, photos, and recognition from their instructor.
Parents or legal guardians must stay on-site throughout the session, though only participating children and PADI Professionals enter the water. We limit each PADI Bubblemaker: Scuba Diving for Kids Honolulu session to 6 participants maximum, ensuring personalized attention and safety. Your child's adventure includes kid-sized scuba gear, bottled water, towels, and an Ocean Therapy Participation Certificate. Additional Bubblemaker Crew Packs are available for $79.30. Starting from $199, this program transforms underwater curiosity into genuine confidence through Oahu's premier youth diving experience.
