Private Surf Lesson

The instructor focuses entirely on what that student needs, whether that means catching a first wave with full personal attention, building fundamental surf skills, or working on something else specific to that student's level. Feedback and guidance are tailored throughout the session, so the lesson adapts rather than following a fixed group format.

The lesson is rated easy in difficulty, and participants should have basic swimming ability before getting in the water. Physical intensity is listed as moderate, so a reasonable level of general fitness is helpful. A surfboard, leash, and rash guard are all provided, so there is no need to bring or rent equipment separately. Gratuity, meals, and transportation are not included. The academy is based in Haleiwa on Oahu.
