About this experience
The Canoe Charter puts your group or family in an outrigger canoe off the shore of Waikiki, paddling out to a surf break and riding waves together. Certified canoe captains, all CPR and lifeguard certified, guide the paddle out and help your group catch waves. A canoe, paddles, and captain guidance are included. Life jackets are available upon request for adults, but guardians must bring their own flotation devices for children.
The meeting point is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Kalakaua Avenue in Honolulu, where participants check in at the service counter before the activity begins. The activity suits all swimming and paddling abilities, and children are welcome with a parent or guardian present to accompany them throughout the ride. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a towel, as those are not provided. Photos and video can be purchased separately. Tours may be rescheduled or canceled if ocean conditions are unsafe.
