Private Stand-Up Paddling Duo (2 people)

This private stand-up paddleboarding lesson from Waikiki Beach Services takes place in the calm, protected waters of Waikiki, with the check-in counter located right on the beach at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Because the water is just steps from where the lesson begins, there is no carrying equipment across long stretches of sand.

The lesson starts with a safety briefing on the sand, then moves into the water where an instructor guides both participants through balancing, paddling, and turning on a SUP board. Turtles are sometimes spotted while paddling over the reef. A stand-up paddleboard and rash guard are provided, though participants should bring a towel, swimwear, and reef-safe sunscreen. Lockers for personal belongings are not included.

All instructors hold CPR and lifeguard certifications. Those who are pregnant or have prior neck or back injuries should not participate. An electronic liability waiver must be completed before the activity begins.
