Your certified instructor walks you through ocean safety essentials and surfing fundamentals before you hit the water. Then it's time for the real magic: one full hour in Waikiki's forgiving, beginner-friendly waves with your dedicated beachboy guide. The whole experience is tailored for first-timers, creating the ideal supportive environment for groups tackling surfing together.
Meet at the iconic Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Kalākaua Avenue—you'll need to be at least 13 years old and comfortable swimming to join this private surf party (4-5 people). Every instructor holds state of Hawaii licenses plus CPR and lifeguard certifications, so you're in solid hands. All gear is covered: surfboards and rash guards for everyone, no hunting around for equipment required.
