About this experience
This whale watching and sunset cruise departs from Kewalo Basin Harbor, sailing along the Waikiki coastline as the sun goes down. Humpback whales migrate to Hawaiian waters during the winter months for breeding and calving, and a professional naturalist guide provides commentary on whale behavior, migration patterns, and marine life throughout the trip. Guests may see the whales breaching, slapping their tails, or displaying other natural behaviors at the surface.
Binoculars are provided at no extra charge. Guests are also welcome to bring additional drinks or snacks of their own, which is the BYOB element of the tour. The operator notes that the large, stable hull helps minimize motion for guests who are prone to seasickness.
