The first surprise? A stop at Hamakua Marsh, where you'll spot four endemic waterbirds-'Alae 'Ula, Ae'o, 'Alae Ke'o Ke'o, and Koloa Maoli-in this hidden sanctuary most visitors never see.

After a quick 7-minute e-bike ride to Kailua Beach Park, you'll launch toward Moku Nui, a designated bird sanctuary we access with proper permits. Conditions permitting, we'll explore Popoia Island and Lanikai Beach for snorkeling. On Moku Nui itself, discover hidden tide pools around Queen's Bath and, when weather allows, venture to the island's dramatic back side.
