Kahana Rainforest River Kayak Rental

This rental puts kayaks in your hands for a river paddle through Kahana Valley, a rainforest setting on Oahu's Windward Coast. The drive to the state park in Kahana Valley takes a while, so factor that into your day.

At Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park, you park in the lot, carry the kayak to a grassy area, and launch directly into the river. The valley is surrounded by mountains and includes hiking trails and rope swings beyond the water. The activity is rated moderate in difficulty and requires basic swimming ability. It is not offered as a private experience.

Come prepared with a swimsuit and sunscreen. Handle the kayaks carefully: do not drag them on asphalt, and do not sit or stand on them while on land. The team arrives at or before the reservation time, so plan to be at the Kailua meeting point ready to load up and head out to the valley.
