What to Bring
About this experience
No prior scuba experience is required. The day begins at the dive shop on Atkinson Drive in Honolulu, where participants check in and review knowledge before moving into confined water training to practice essential skills in a controlled setting. From there, the course moves to open water shore dives, where those skills are applied in the ocean. All rental scuba gear is provided, and transportation to and from the dive site is included. PADI eLearning access is also included so participants can study before the in-person day begins, and that eLearning must be completed before arriving.
Participants should bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and a water bottle. Meals, personal snacks, and towels are not included. A PADI Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire must be completed before training begins, and certain medical conditions require a physician's evaluation and clearance in advance. A basic swim test is also required.
