Become a Certified Scuba Diver!

Become a Certified Scuba Diver! is the open water checkout phase of scuba certification offered by Hawaii Dive Center, meeting in Honolulu. This portion of training moves out of the classroom and confined water and into the ocean, where divers apply the skills they have already learned to real conditions.

Divers begin at shallower depths and progress to greater depths as comfort grows. Once the required skills have been demonstrated successfully in the ocean, participants receive their certification card.

This experience is designed for people who are working through an open water scuba course and are at the stage of taking their skills from classroom and confined water practice into actual ocean conditions. Hawaii Dive Center offers this program any day of the week, and the meeting point is Honolulu.
