First Time Scuba Divers!

First Time Scuba Divers! is an introductory scuba program run by Hawaii Dive Center on Oahu, designed for people who have never dived before, hold no certification, or simply want to get back in the water after a long break. No prior experience is required.

The program is not a certification course, but it covers the steps needed to dive safely and comfortably. Instructors supervise each participant closely throughout the experience, keeping the group at a manageable size.

Participants may encounter Hawaii green sea turtles, reef-dwelling eels, reef sharks, and fish native to Hawaiian waters. One important restriction to know before going: PADI standards prohibit introductory divers from bringing any camera equipment, including action cameras like GoPros, into the water during the dive. The program runs every day of the week.
