About this experience
The PADI Advanced Open Water Certification course offered by Hawaii Dive Center in Honolulu is designed to build on the skills a diver already has after earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification. Despite the name, no prior advanced experience is required. The course is structured to help divers grow, log dives, and explore new specialties under the supervision of a PADI Instructor.
Participants work through Adventure Dives covering skill areas that include Deep Diver and Underwater Navigator. Each area develops practical capabilities and gives divers new ways to enjoy scuba diving. The course runs every day of the week and meets in Honolulu.
The course is open to PADI-certified Open Water Divers, including younger divers who have earned a Junior Open Water Diver certification. Someone who has just finished their Open Water certification can sign up right away without waiting. It suits divers who want to gain experience in different specialties and build confidence under professional instruction.
