About this experience
Waikiki Whale Watching with Living Ocean Tours departs from Kewalo Basin Harbor, where the crew opens with a safety briefing and an educational talk about Humpback Whales in Hawaii. The boat then cruises along the Waikiki Coastline while the crew shares facts about these whales, which migrate from polar regions to mate and give birth in Hawaiian waters. When conditions allow, passengers can listen to Humpback whale song through an onboard hydrophone, an underwater microphone that picks up sounds from below the surface.
If no whales appear during the trip, Living Ocean Tours lets guests return on a future trip at no charge.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, and very young children are not permitted aboard. Guests driving to the harbor should plan extra time to park and walk to the boat, and arriving well before departure is strongly recommended. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera, and a light jacket for the water.
