About this experience
North Shore Surf School's private group lesson on Oahu's North Shore is designed for families and friend groups who want an exclusive session with their own dedicated instructors. The lesson covers the fundamentals of surfing and proper ocean knowledge, and the instructors aim to get every participant standing up and riding waves. Staff hold Red Cross CPR and AED lifeguarding certifications and bring extensive ocean experience to each session.
All surf gear is provided, so there is no need to rent equipment separately. Participants should arrive wearing swimwear and bring reef-safe sunscreen. Hotel pickup is not available, so the group meets directly at the location. Food and drinks are not included, so plan accordingly.
This lesson is rated easy in difficulty with moderate physical intensity, making it a good fit for beginners. Pregnant participants should not join this activity. Groups meeting the minimum headcount can book through the standard process, while very large groups are asked to call ahead to arrange the session.
