Dolphin Excursion

Whale Watch
Humpback whales migrate to the Hawaiian Islands during the winter months to calve and mate, with the warm inshore waters offering protection for young whales as they build up body fat for their long journey north. Males are known for producing complex songs during mating season, and these whales are also recognized for breaching and slapping the water with their tails and pectoral fins. The tour also includes an optional snorkeling portion with sea turtles and fish. Snorkel gear and a life vest are provided, so bring a swimsuit and towel if planning to snorkel. If the guides cannot locate a sea turtle, guests receive a return trip voucher. Excursions are led by marine biologists and seasoned island naturalists with experience on the Waianae Coast. Snorkel gear and fins are provided. Guests may bring a camera of any type, or rent a GoPro from the operator and keep the SD card. Snacks and beverages, including alcohol, are welcome to bring along. Meals and gratuity are not included. This tour runs in the afternoon, so no early morning commitment is required. There is no hotel pickup, so guests arrange their own transportation to the meeting point. The tour is weather dependent, meaning conditions on the day may affect operations.
