Surf Lesson - 90 Minutes
S.F.C. Surf School runs surf lessons on Oahu for people who want to get into the water with instructor guidance. Lessons run throughout the day, so there are multiple time slots to fit different schedules. Each lesson begins with time on land, where an instructor covers safety basics and beach technique before heading into the water. The in-water portion is led by an instructor, and the session closes with a period for getting out of the water and finishing up. A surfboard, leash, and rash guard are all provided. Bring a towel, water shoes, and sunscreen. Plan to arrive early to check in before the lesson begins. The south shore location may shift if conditions make a spot unsafe, and guests will be notified of any change. If conditions prevent the lesson from running at all, the school will reschedule for the following day, and a full refund is given if that day is also unsuitable. Individuals can join a group session, and larger groups can be accommodated with advance notice.
Surf Lesson - 60 Minutes
S.F.C. Individuals can join a group lesson at a time that fits their schedule. The lesson begins on land with safety and beach instruction before moving into the water with an instructor. A surfboard, leash, and rash guard are all provided, so no equipment rental is needed separately. Guests should plan to arrive early to check in before the lesson begins. Bring a towel, water shoes, and sunscreen, as those are not included. If surf or weather conditions become unsafe, the school may move the session to a different south shore location and will notify guests of any change. If conditions prevent the lesson from running at all, the school will reschedule for the following day. Larger groups can be accommodated with advance notice.
