This sailing tour runs seasonally between December and April, when humpback whales gather in Hawaii's warm coastal waters. The sail is family-friendly and rated easy with low physical intensity. Walkers and strollers cannot be brought on board.
Guests may spot whales breaching and spouting, and dolphins and sea turtles sometimes appear alongside the whales. Whale sightings depend on natural conditions, but if no whales are seen during the tour, a free second trip is offered. No food or drinks are provided, so bringing your own snacks and beverages is recommended, though no glass containers are allowed. Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a light jacket, a camera, and a towel. Cash for tips is also suggested.
