PADI Specialty Courses: Beyond the Basics

Each course combines PADI eLearning, which allows study at a personal pace before in-water sessions, with hands-on instruction from a PADI professional. Specialty certifications also count toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

Hotel pickup is not provided. Confident swimming ability is needed, and the physical demand is moderate. Because course prerequisites vary by specialty, most require at least an Open Water Diver certification, while some require Advanced Open Water or equivalent. All participants must complete a PADI Medical Questionnaire before joining any course. Participants under the age of majority must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout training.

Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a water bottle, and a camera if underwater photography is on the agenda. Contact the operator directly to confirm what gear and additional materials are included for a chosen specialty.
