About this experience
Classroom sessions take place at the Aloha Scuba Dive Shop, and open-water training is conducted from shore at a location the instructor arranges. The course manual is included in tuition, along with tanks, weights, and Emergency First Response CPR and First Aid training.
Students work through topics including self-rescue, recognizing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, and techniques for rescuing both panicked and unresponsive divers. Knowledge development sessions combine with hands-on rescue exercises and scenarios, so skills become practical and reliable. An e-learning option is available at checkout. Instructors may also offer the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty alongside the main course.
To enroll, a student must hold a PADI Adventure Diver certification and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive.
