About this experience
This private group surf lesson from North Shore Ohana School of Surfing is built for families, wedding parties, reunion groups, and conference gatherings looking for instruction dedicated solely to their party. The lesson meets in Haleiwa and is led by a Red Cross CPR-certified instructor with North Shore ocean experience. The instructor-to-student ratio is set at the time of booking based on group size.
The session opens on land, where the instructor covers how to stand up on a board, safety basics, and surfing etiquette before the group heads into the water. All gear is provided, including a rash guard, leash, and a softtop or epoxy surfboard.
The surf locations used in both winter and summer are also known as snorkel spots where green sea turtles, reef fish, manta rays, and seasonal marine life share the water. The operator notes that any participant who is unsatisfied with the experience or service receives a full refund, no questions asked.
