About this experience
This tour takes guests out on the water aboard The Kona Star to search for humpback whales off the coast of Oahu. Humpbacks are the focus, and the crew also commonly spots dolphins and turtles near the boat, so bringing a camera is a good idea. The tour runs seasonally, from December through April.
The boat has a private restroom on board, and fresh fruit, healthy snacks, and drinking water are provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages. There is no hotel pickup, so travelers make their way to the meeting point on their own. The tour does not offer a private group option.
A camera is worth bringing along, since dolphins and turtles also appear near the boat and those moments are worth capturing.
