The Pearl Harbor Commander's Self-Guided Multimedia Tour offers something truly special – a way to experience December 7, 1941, through the voices of those who lived it.
This official Pearl Harbor National Park Service experience takes you through 23 carefully chosen stops across the visitor center, museums, and shoreline. What sets it apart? The narration comes from acclaimed actress Jamie Lee Curtis, National Park Service historians, and actual Pearl Harbor survivors sharing their firsthand accounts. You'll hear authentic stories through archival audio and see historic imagery that brings those pivotal moments to life.
The self-guided format means you control the pace. Press play at each stop and let the voices of history guide your 60-minute journey of remembrance. Available in nine languages – English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish – it welcomes international visitors seeking to understand this turning point in American history.
Start at 1 Arizona Memorial Place, where you'll check in at the Narrated Tour Desk for your complimentary handheld audio device, detailed map, and take-home earbuds. While this tour doesn't include Memorial tickets, you can join the free day-of standby queue or secure advanced tickets through recreation.gov for a $1 reservation fee.

The experience accommodates groups up to 130 people with flexible scheduling. You'll receive the handheld device, official map, and earbuds to keep. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled date receive full refunds. Cancellations made within 24 hours are not eligible for a refund, but the tour may be rescheduled for a later date (at least 24 hours from the time of the reschedule request).
