What to Bring
About this experience
Participants check in, then move through a land-based safety briefing and on-land demo before heading to the beach to paddle out and catch waves with instructors alongside them. After the session, guests can return to the shop to view optional souvenir photos and videos.
The lesson suits first-timers as well as surfers who want to sharpen their technique. A surfboard, long-sleeve rash guard, and a safe place to store belongings are all included, so there is no need to bring equipment.
Come wearing swimwear and sunscreen, and bring a towel. Participants must be able to swim. The lesson is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with back problems. Arrive at the Ty Gurney Surf Shop ahead of your scheduled lesson time to allow for check-in.
